In this work, participants are welcomed to sit in the living room, where they may stay for as long as they please, enjoy the comfortable pillows and smell the rosewater air being diffused in the corner. They are welcomed and encouraged to write a worry, guilt, secret that they are not able to share to the world.
Granting me the trust to read their secretes that they so graciously passed along to me, I appointed myself to the role of a sponge to absorb their worries.
Later taking these heartbreakingly raw slips of paper to a secluded place where they are read outloud to a burning fire and whisping winds. Hoping that the flowing grass of the meadows will hear the anguish and transform it into growth.
